Balloon Safari

This is a once in a lifetime experience where you can expect a wonderful flight over the Serengeti plain, over the spectacular wildebeest and zebra migration along with attendant predators. The balloon safari affords you the opportunity to see miles in every direction. Guests regularly comment about the breathtaking views from the balloon safari.

Serengeti Balloon Safari

Probably the most exhilarating experience you’ll have in Africa as you get to see magnificent landscapes of Serengeti while hovering above large herds of migrating wildebeest, zebra and residing gazelle and antelopes. Not to mention that you will be welcomed with an amazing sunset as we launch at dawn, rising as the sun rises, gently floating over the plains of the magnificent Serengeti.

Serengeti Balloon Safari starts at 06:30 am. When you arrive, you will meet your pilot and witness your balloon being inflated and prepared for launch. After a thorough safety briefing and demonstration of boarding and landing position you board your balloon and lift off!

The schedule has been designed to fit in with all standard safari itineraries visiting the Serengeti hence, the return at 9:30 am allow clients to continue with other planned activities for the rest of the day.

Each balloon can carry up to 16 people per flight. Only two balloons fly each day hence, reservation is necessary. This gives you the opportunity to take photos and have a panoramic view of the mighty Serengeti Plain.

In certain parks such as Tarangire and Manyara you will enjoy the sights and sounds of the bush at night and be able to spot the numerous nocturnal animals. Guests are driven around in a special vehicle with experienced guides for this exciting adventure.

Walking Safari, Natural Walk and Mountain Bike

It’s possible explore the park and surrounding areas walking or biking with a local guide and/or armed ranger. Horseback riding is an option for guests who would like to experience the bush a little higher off the ground. All of these options are different experiences in their own right – you have the opportunity to add more action to your safari and see the wildlife and nature from different perspectives.

Local culture and traditions

During a safari in Tanzania you can learn and experience a lot the local culture and traditions. You can visit with a local guide villages, farms, plantations, local markets and meet friendly locals everywhere inbetween. You can meet the Hadzabe and Datoga Tribes. The Hadzabe are a hunter-gatherer tribe that inhabits the Rift Valley in the vicinity of Lake Eyasi. You have a chance to see their traditional lifestyle and follow the hunters in the bush with a local guide.

Maasai Culture

During the safari you can visit a Maasai boma, experience their lifestyle, and even see traditional dancing. It’s also possible visit a Masaai market close to Arusha on Wed-Fri-Sat-Sun where Maasai and Meru tribes meet and sell their animals and products.

During your stay in Zanzibar you can explore the island and experience local culture and traditions.

Safari Blue

Duration: full day.

Excursion on the sea to discover special beaches that characterize the natural beauty of Zanzibar. On board a dhow, a typical local boat, you can explore the beautiful Bay of Menai where you can see dolphins. Later you can stop on a beautiful stretch of sand with access to snorkeling followed by lunch on the island of Kwale and a visit to the wonderful baobab secular.

Prison Island

Duration: half day or full day.

Boarding at the port of Stone Town. Visit the old prisons and giant tortoises from the Seychelles which live on the island for more than 150 years. Lunch is served in the shade of a colorful “kanga” on “Nakupenda” sand surrounded by crystal clear water where guests swim and snorkel among coral and fish – a quite enjoyable time.

Stone Town

Duration: usually half day.

Visit Stone Town, the capital of Zanzibar, which is quite a busy city where you can find a mix of European, African, Indian, and Arabic cultures. While you tour the city, along narrow streets too small for vehicle traffic, you can view churches, temples, and mosques all in the same general area. In addition to the market square, you can admire the majestic buildings rich in history and culture, such as the Palace of Wonders, Forte Arabic, the Anglican Church, and the magnificent inlaid portals. There will also be a chance to go shopping and walk to Freddy Mercury’s birthplace.

Jozani Forest

Duration: half day or full day if combined with the spice tour.

Visit the last forest of the island where, in a natural and unspoiled area, still reside herds of red colobus (monkey) and the Blue Monkey. You will walk through the old forest trees and see the beauty of mahogany trees, plane trees, ferns and many other species. The tour usually ends with a guided walk through a mangrove lagoon.

Spice Tour

Duration: half day or full day if combined with Jozani Forest.

During the tour you can experience traditions and culture of Zanzibar Island. Guests can see the famous wood carvers and purchase their work. The guided tour through the spice plantations will satisfy thousands of curiosities regarding multiple types and uses of herbs and spices. You can buy the cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, even plant lipstick in the local market.

Kizimkazi

Duration: half day or full day if combined with Jozani Forest.

Kizimkazi is a small fishing village located in the South of the island. It offers a tour suitable for snorkelers who can enjoy the wonders of the Indian Ocean and see marvelous dolphins depending on the season and the tides.

Mnemba

Duration: half day or full day.

The best destination for snorkeling and diving. After 45 minutes by boat you dive in tropical waters around the atoll of Mnemba, a national park, where you can see coral and tropical fish, sea turtles and dolphins. You cannot get on the island as it is privately owned.
